The crowd at Friday's league contest between the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) and the host Berchmans Academy Saints (Grand Coteau, LA), witnessed St. Edmund's football squad wallop Berchmans Academy by a tally of 59-0.

The Fighting Blue Jays (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA). The Trojans enter the 1A District 5 contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Sacred Heart walloped Bolton Academy (Alexandria, LA), 42-6, in a non-league battle.

The Saints now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Catholic of Pointe Coupee for a 1A District 5 battle on Friday, October 17. Berchmans Academy will encounter a Hornets team coming off a 40-6 league win over North Central (Lebeau, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 5-1.
