October 10, 2025: Carlyle, IL 62231 The Sparta/Steeleville Bulldogs football squad scored 41 points and limited the host Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians to 8 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Friday.
The Bulldogs now hold a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dupo for a Cahokia - Illinois test on Friday, October 17. Sparta/Steeleville will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 38-37 league loss to Chester (Chester, IL). The Tigers record now stands at 6-1.
With the defeat, Carlyle drops to 0-7 on the campaign. The Indians/lady indians host Wesclin (Trenton, IL) to face the Warriors in a Cahokia - Illinois challenge on Friday, October 17. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 3-4. Wesclin won 34-22 in their recent league challenge against Red Bud (Red Bud, IL)
