Hay Springs Hawks (Hay Springs, NE) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cody, NE), 78-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Hay Springs advances its record to 4-2 on the season. The Hawks travel to Minatare (Minatare, NE) to encounter the Indians in a D6 District 6 (6 Man) battle on Thursday, October 16. The Indians go into the battle with a record of 1-5. Minatare lost 45-0 in their recent league battle against Crawford (Crawford, NE)

The Cowboys/Cowgirls now hold a 1-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sioux County for a D6 District 6 (6 Man) match on Friday, October 17. Cody-Kilgore will confront a Warriors squad coming off a 70-19 league loss to Arthur County (Arthur, NE). The Warriors record now stands at 2-4.
