North Carolina High School Football - Olympic nips West Cabarrus

The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Olympic Trojans (Charlotte, NC) and the host West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC), witnessed Olympic's football squad edge West Cabarrus by a tally of 20-17.

With the win, Olympic advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Trojans host Harding University (Charlotte, NC) to encounter the Rams in a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A bout on Friday, October 17. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 2-5. Harding University won 16-7 in their recent league bout against Berry (Charlotte, NC)

The Wolverines now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cox Mill for a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A contest on Friday, October 17. West Cabarrus will confront a Chargers squad coming off a 23-20 league loss to Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 3-4.
