In Friday's league game, the Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) football squad knocked off the host St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), by a margin of 38-29.

The Spirits now sport a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they host Cathedral for a Angelus game on Friday, October 17. Paraclete will battle a Phantoms team coming off a 41-13 league win over Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, CA). The Phantoms record now stands at 3-4.
