The Willow Canyon Wildcats football team (Surprise, AZ), was crushed 40-0 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Sunrise Mountain Mustangs (Peoria, AZ)

With the win, Sunrise Mountain advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Mustangs host West Point (Avondale, AZ) to encounter the Dragons in a 5A Northwest bout on Friday, October 17. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 2-5. West Point lost 44-43 in their recent league bout against Apollo (Glendale, AZ)

The Wildcats now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cactus for a 5A Northwest bout on Friday, October 17. Willow Canyon will battle a Cobras squad coming off a 30-7 league loss to Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ). The Cobras record now stands at 5-2.
