Louisiana High School Football - Grant nips Peabody
October 11, 2024: Dry Prong, LA 71423 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Grant Cougars (Dry Prong, LA) and the visiting Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA), witnessed Grant's football squad edge Peabody by a tally of 13-10.
The Cougars (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Wossman (Monroe, LA). The Wildcats enter the 4A District 2 contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Wossman got by Tioga (Tioga, LA), 38-24, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Warhorses battle the Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) in a 4A District 2 contest, on Friday, October 18. Peabody will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 29-27 league win over West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA).
