In Friday's league game, the West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC) football team edged the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), by a tally of 14-7.

In their next game, the Rebels battle the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley game, on Friday, October 18. West Lincoln will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 0-6 record after their 63-6 league loss to Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC).
