The Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans edged the visiting Williston-Elko Blue Devils football team by a score of 8-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Wagener-Salley War Eagles (Wagener, SC) in a A Region 3 challenge, on Friday, October 18. Ridge Spring-Monetta will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The War Eagles enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 50-6 league loss to Blackville-Hilda (Blackville, SC).

The Blue Devils (3-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (Neeses, SC). The Trojans enter the A Region 3 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler held off Calhoun County (St. Matthews, SC), 28-0, in a league challenge.
