The West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) football tipped the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 21-14 in Friday's league outing.

The Blackhawks now sport a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Surry for a 2A Foothills outing on Friday, October 18. West Wilkes will clash with a Greyhounds squad coming off a 42-7 league win over Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 6-2.
