In Saturday's non-league bout, the Ironwood Eagles (Glendale, AZ) volleyball team held off the visiting Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ), by a margin of 2-1.

The Eagles now possess a 13-10 record. They play next when they host Kellis for a 5A - Northwest Valley bout on Thursday, October 16. Ironwood will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Youngker (Buckeye, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 7-10.
