Lutheran Cougars (St. Peters, MO) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Springfield Catholic Fighting Irish (Springfield, MO), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars (10-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Park Hill South (Riverside, MO). The Panthers come into the non-league challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Park Hill South beat North Kansas City (North Kansas City, MO), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Irish play the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats (Rogersville, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 11. Springfield Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-21 season record. The Wildcats go into the game with a 21-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Bolivar (Bolivar, MO).
