In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Bloomington Central Catholic Saints volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Metamora Redbirds.

The Saints (25-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Normal University (Normal, IL). The Pioneers come into the non-league challenge with a 24-2 record. In their last challenge, Normal University beat Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Redbirds meet the Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) in a Mid-Illini challenge, on Tuesday, October 15. Metamora will attempt to upgrade on its 12-11 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 8-15 record after their 2-0 league loss to Morton (Morton, IL).
