October 13, 2023: Oak Lawn, IL 60453 The Oak Lawn Spartans football team (Oak Lawn, IL), was tipped 21-17 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL)
The Astros (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Evergreen Park (Evergreen Park, IL). The Mustangs come into the South Suburban - Red challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Evergreen Park nipped Argo (Summit, IL), 33-7, in a league challenge.
The Spartans now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Blue Island Eisenhower for a South Suburban - Red challenge on Friday, October 20. Oak Lawn will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 54-0 league win over Reavis (Burbank, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-3.
