The Sun Valley Spartans edged the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates volleyball squad by a final score of 3-2 in Monday's non-league game.

Next up, the Spartans face the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, October 15. Sun Valley will attempt to advance on its 15-11 season record. The Mavericks go into the game with a 27-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Weddington (Matthews, NC).
