In Saturday's non-league battle, the host Pleasant Valley Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Nevada Union Miners.

The Vikings (17-14) will now prepare for their battle against University Prep (Redding, CA). The Panthers come into the Northern battle with a 29-3 record. In their last battle, University Prep defeated Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.
