Texas High School Football - Wakeland holds off Frisco

The Wakeland Wolverines football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Frisco Raccoons to 28 in the Wolverines league triumph on Thursday.

The Wolverines now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lone Star for a 5A-1 Region II District 5 outing on Friday, October 24. Wakeland will clash with a Rangers squad coming off a 49-3 league win over Sherman (Sherman, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 7-0.

With the defeat, Frisco drops to 4-2 on the campaign. The Raccoons host Lebanon Trail (Frisco, TX) to clash with the Trail Blazers in a 5A-1 Region II District 5 game on Thursday, October 23. The Trail Blazers enter the game with a record of 4-3. Lebanon Trail won 35-28 in their recent league game against Heritage (Frisco, TX)
