The Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts volleyball squad (Chillicothe, IL), was edged 2-1 in Thursday's league battle with the host Bloomington Central Catholic Saints (Bloomington, IL)

With the win, Bloomington Central Catholic improves its record to 28-5 on the year. The Saints travel to Tolono Unity (Tolono, IL) to meet the Rockets in a Illini Prairie challenge on Tuesday, October 21. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 15-11.

The Grey Ghosts now own a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to LaSalle-Peru for a non-league test on Saturday, October 18. Illinois Valley Central will face a Cavaliers squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Ottawa (Ottawa, IL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 24-3.
