In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Appomattox County Raiders volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Nelson County Governors.

The Raiders (14-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans come into the non-league challenge with a 16-2 record.

Next, the Governors play the Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) in a Dogwood challenge, on Tuesday, October 22. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record.
