In Friday's league game, the Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) football team were victorious over the visiting Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ), by a margin of 16-6.

The Wolves now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Horizon for a 5A Northeast Valley game on Friday, October 24. Desert Mountain will battle a Huskies team coming off a 24-20 non-league loss to Highland (Gilbert, AZ). The Huskies record now stands at 6-2.

The Firebirds (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Cactus Shadows (Cave Creek, AZ). The Falcons enter the 5A Northeast Valley game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Cactus Shadows notched a victory over Notre Dame Prep (Scottsdale, AZ), 56-27, in a league game.
