The Speedway Sparkplugs walloped the visiting Covenant Christian Warriors football team by a score of 40-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Sparkplugs face the Crawfordsville Athenians (Crawfordsville, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, October 24. Speedway will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Athenians go into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 49-12 league win over Frankfort (Frankfort, IN).

With the defeat, Covenant Christian drops to 2-7 on the campaign. The Warriors host Indianapolis Lutheran (Indianapolis, IN) to meet the Saints in a non-league test on Friday, October 24. The Saints come into the test with a record of 8-1. Indianapolis Lutheran won 23-13 in their recent non-league test against McCutcheon (Lafayette, IN)
