North Carolina High School Football - Cox Mill can't hold off West Cabarrus

October 17, 2025: Concord, NC 28027

West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) fans left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad nudge the visiting Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 35-34 in a league test.

The Wolverines now hold a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Central Cabarrus for a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A test on Friday, October 24. West Cabarrus will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 34-15 league win over Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 3-5.

With the defeat, Cox Mill drops to 3-5 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to A.L. Brown (Kannapolis, NC) to meet the Wonders in a Greater Metro (GMAC) 6A/7A test on Friday, October 24. The Wonders come into the test with a record of 5-3. A.L. Brown won 28-14 in their recent league test against Hickory Ridge (Harrisburg, NC)
