Spectators at Friday's league bout between the Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) and the visiting Mountain Valley Falcons (Rumford, ME), saw Dirigo's football team bounce Mountain Valley by a final score of 32-0.

With the win, Dirigo advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Cougars travel to Freeport (Freeport, ME) to encounter the Falcons in a D South bout on Friday, October 24. The Falcons go into the contest with a record of 4-3. Freeport lost 35-14 in their recent league contest against Poland (Poland, ME)

Coming up next, the Falcons confront the Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 24. Mountain Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Lynx enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 42-29 non-league win over Lisbon (Lisbon Falls, ME).
