The Homewood Patriots edged the host Parker Thundering Herd football team by a score of 35-28 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Minor Tigers (Adamsville, AL) in a 6A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, October 24. Homewood will attempt to move on its 7-1 season record. The Tigers come into the outing with a 4-4 record after their 46-40 league loss to Jackson-Olin (Birmingham, AL).

With the defeat, Parker drops to 6-3 on the campaign. The Thundering herd host Woodlawn (Birmingham, AL) to battle the Colonels in a 6A Region 5 game on Thursday, October 23.
