Ventura Cougars (Ventura, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Royal Highlanders (Simi Valley, CA), 22-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Ventura improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Cougars host Oak Park (Oak Park, CA) to play the Eagles in a battle on Friday, October 24. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 3-3. Oak Park lost 42-8 in their recent league challenge against Moorpark (Moorpark, CA)

The Highlanders (7-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Moorpark (Moorpark, CA). The Musketeers go into the challenge with a 4-4 record. In their last challenge, Moorpark was dropped by Oxnard (Oxnard, CA), 20-7, in a league challenge.
