Velma-Alma Comets (Velma, OK) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team tip the host Konawa Tigers (Konawa, OK), 14-12 in a league battle.

With the win, Velma-Alma advances its record to 5-2 on the season. The Comets travel to Healdton (Healdton, OK) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league battle on Friday, October 25. The Bulldogs go into the battle with a record of 2-5. Healdton lost 52-8 in their recent league battle against Ringling (Ringling, OK)

The Tigers now own a 5-2 record. They play next when they travel to Ringling for a A-II District 2 battle on Friday, October 25. Konawa will play a Blue Devils team coming off a 52-8 league win over Healdton (Healdton, OK). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.
