October 19, 2023: Lexington, SC 29072 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC) and the visiting Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), observed Lexington's football squad defeat Aiken by a count of 48-18.
The Wildcats now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Dutch Fork for a AAAAA Region 4 contest on Friday, October 27. Lexington will play a Silver Foxes squad coming off a 56-3 league win over River Bluff (Lexington, SC). The Silver Foxes record now stands at 4-5.
Coming up next, the Fighting Green Hornets play the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 contest, on Friday, October 27. Aiken will attempt to upgrade on its 0-9 season record. The Thoroughbreds go into the contest with a 2-7 record after their 56-28 league loss to Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC).
