October 19, 2024: Albany, TX 76430 Fans at Saturday's league contest between the Hawley Bearcats (Hawley, TX) and the host Albany Lions (Albany, TX), observed Hawley's volleyball team hold off Albany by a count of 3-2.
The Bearcats (23-10) will now prepare for their contest against Colorado (Colorado City, TX). The Wolves enter the 2A Region I District 6 contest with a 5-16 record.
Next, the Lions meet the Aspermont Hornets (Aspermont, TX) in a non-league contest, on Monday, October 21. Albany will attempt to move on its 15-19 season record. The Hornets enter the contest with a 10-15 record after their 3-0 league win over Trent (Trent, TX).
