Texas High School Football - Vela smashes McAllen Memorial

The Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) football trounced the visiting McAllen Memorial Mustangs (McAllen, TX), 56-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The Sabercats now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Palmview for a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, November 1. Vela will clash with a Lobos squad coming off a 21-14 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 6-2.

With the defeat, McAllen Memorial drops to 6-2 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Rowe (McAllen, TX) to clash with the Warriors in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 outing on Friday, November 1. The Warriors come into the outing with a record of 3-5. Rowe lost 52-42 in their recent league outing against Mission (Mission, TX)
