In Friday's league match, the host East Nashville Magnet Eagles football squad scored a decisive 55-0 triumph over the Houston County Fighting Irish.

The Eagles (4-4) will now prepare for their match against East Robertson (Cross Plains, TN). The Indians come into the 2A Region 6 match with a 9-0 record. In their last match, East Robertson routed Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY), 32-16, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Fighting Irish meet the East Hickman County Eagles (Lyles, TN) in a 2A Region 6 match, on Thursday, October 30. Houston County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Eagles come into the match with a 3-5 record after their 28-15 league win over Hickman County (Centerville, TN).
