The East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC) football trounced the host Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), 49-6 in Friday's league outing.

The Cavaliers now sport a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host R-S Central for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 outing on Friday, November 1. East Rutherford will clash with a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 42-17 non-league loss to Porter Ridge (Indian Trail, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Polk County drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Brevard (Brevard, NC) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 outing on Friday, November 1. The Blue Devils come into the outing with a record of 5-2. Brevard won 24-0 in their recent league outing against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC)
