Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting Norcom Greyhounds (Portsmouth, VA), 7-6 in a league battle.

With the win, Granby advances its record to 8-0 on the season. The Comets host Manor (Portsmouth, VA) to encounter the Mustangs in a Eastern battle on Friday, November 1. The Mustangs go into the battle with a record of 1-7. Manor won 34-24 in their recent league battle against Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA)

The Greyhounds now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Lake Taylor for a Eastern battle on Saturday, November 2. Norcom will encounter a Titans team coming off a 40-34 league loss to Churchland (Portsmouth, VA). The Titans record now stands at 2-6.
