October 26, 2023: Zeeland, MI 49464 The Zeeland East Chix (Zeeland, MI) volleyball nudged the visiting Sparta Spartans (Sparta, MI), 2-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.
With the win, Zeeland East upgrades its record to 21-16 on the year. The Chix host St. Joseph (St. Joseph, MI) to face the Bears in a non-league outing on Monday, October 30. The Bears go into the outing with a record of 3-13.
The Spartans now own a 1-14 record. They play next when they travel to Wayland for a non-league outing on Thursday, October 26. Sparta will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 17-16.
