The Sun Valley Spartans football team (Monroe, NC), was knocked off 38-21 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC)

The Pirates (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC). The Cavaliers come into the non-league challenge with a 6-4 record. In their last challenge, Cuthbertson was knocked off by Weddington (Matthews, NC), 62-14, in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Cox Mill for a non-league challenge on Friday, November 3. Sun Valley will meet a Chargers team coming off a 31-20 league win over South Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Chargers record now stands at 5-5.
