In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Tohatchi Cougars volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Newcomb Skyhawks.

The Cougars (16-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM). The Bears come into the 3A District 1 challenge with a 1-17 record. In their last challenge, Wingate lost by Navajo Prep (Farmington, NM), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Skyhawks meet the Crownpoint Eagles (Crownpoint, NM) in a 3A District 1 test, on Thursday, October 30. Newcomb will attempt to advance on its 4-15 season record. The Eagles go into the test with a 14-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Zuni (Zuni, NM).
