Georgia High School Flag Football - Monroe Area tops Morgan County
October 29, 2024: Madison, GA 30650 The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes flag football squad scored 19 points and limited the host Morgan County Bulldogs to 7 in the Purple Hurricanes league triumph on Tuesday.
The Purple Hurricanes now hold a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Oconee County for a D2 Area 8 test on Tuesday, October 29. Monroe Area will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 19-7 non-league win over Long County (Ludowici, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 11-2.
With the defeat, Morgan County drops to 0-8 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host North Oconee (Bogart, GA) to meet the Titans in a D2 Area 8 test on Tuesday, November 5. The Titans come into the test with a record of 8-2. North Oconee won 41-0 in their recent league test against East Jackson (Commerce, GA)
