The Alleghany Trojans soccer team (Sparta, NC), was overwhelmed 9-0 in Monday's league outing with the host Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC)

With the win, Mount Airy advances its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Granite Bears travel to East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Northwest 1A outing on Wednesday, October 5. The Cardinals go into the outing with a record of 2-11. East Wilkes lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against Starmount (Boonville, NC)
