Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team triumph over the visiting Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 57-0 in a league match.

The Wolves (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Golden Lions come into the Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A match with a 4-2 record. In their last match, Shelby walloped Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC), 50-29, in a league battle.

The Yellow Jackets now have a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Highland Tech for a Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A battle on Friday, October 10. Bessemer City will play a Rams team coming off a 34-0 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC). The Rams record now stands at 0-6.
