The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Schoolcraft Eagles (Schoolcraft, MI) and the host Lawton Blue Devils (Lawton, MI), witnessed Schoolcraft's football squad edge Lawton by a tally of 18-14.

The Eagles (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Saugatuck (Saugatuck, MI). The Trailblazers enter the Southwestern - Valley contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Saugatuck was nudged by Galesburg-Augusta (Galesburg, MI), 42-10, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Blue Devils battle the Coloma Comets (Coloma, MI) in a Southwestern - Valley bout, on Friday, October 10. Lawton will attempt to advance on its 4-2 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 28-7 league win over Kellogg (Delton, MI).
