The Locust Fork Hornets football team (Locust Fork, AL), was crushed 49-9 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL)

With the win, Piedmont advances its record to 6-0 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Pennington (Blountsville, AL) to encounter the Tigers in a 3A Region 6 bout on Friday, October 10. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 5-2. Pennington won 49-0 in their recent league bout against Saks (Anniston, AL)

The Hornets now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Weaver for a 3A Region 6 bout on Friday, October 10. Locust Fork will play a Bearcats team coming off a 56-19 league loss to Glencoe (Glencoe, AL). The Bearcats record now stands at 1-5.
