Louisiana High School Football - St. Edmund falls to Opelousas Catholic

The Opelousas Catholic Vikings felled the host St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays football squad by a margin of 52-30 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westminster Christian Academy for a 1A District 5 game on Thursday, October 9. Opelousas Catholic will face a Crusaders team coming off a 14-7 league win over Sacred Heart (Ville Platte, LA). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-0.

The Fighting Blue Jays (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA). The Saints enter the 1A District 5 game with a 1-4 record. In their last game, Berchmans Academy fell by North Central (Lebeau, LA), 34-21, in a league game.
