California High School Football - St. Francis thwarted by St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting St. Francis Golden Knights (La Canada, CA), 42-15 in a league battle.

With the triumph, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Warriors host Paraclete (Lancaster, CA) to meet the Spirits in a Angelus test on Friday, October 10. The Spirits come into the test with a record of 5-1. Paraclete won 49-6 in their recent league test against Bishop Alemany (Mission Hills, CA)

With the defeat, St. Francis drops to 0-6 on the campaign. The Golden knights travel to St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA) to play the Swordsmen in a Angelus challenge on Friday, October 10. The Swordsmen go into the challenge with a record of 0-6. St. Paul lost 56-25 in their recent league test against Cathedral (Los Angeles, CA)
