Manitowoc Lincoln Ships (Manitowoc, WI) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the visiting Appleton East Patriots (Appleton, WI), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Ships (17-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Luxemburg-Casco (Luxemburg, WI). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 24-8 record. In their last challenge, Luxemburg-Casco edged Marinette (Marinette, WI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Notre Dame Academy Tritons (Green Bay, WI) in a non-league test, on Saturday, October 4. Appleton East will attempt to upgrade on its 8-21 season record. The Tritons come into the challenge with a 10-19 record after their 3-2 league loss to Pulaski (Pulaski, WI).
