The Round Valley Elks football team (Eagar, AZ), was tipped 24-21 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Safford Bulldogs (Safford, AZ)

The Bulldogs (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Thatcher (Thatcher, AZ). The Eagles come into the 3A South outing with a 4-3 record. In their last outing, Thatcher edged Sabino (Tucson, AZ), 27-20, in a league outing.

With the loss, Round Valley moves to 3-4 on the season. The Elks host Ganado (Ganado, AZ) to encounter the Hornets in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 12. The Hornets go into the outing with a record of 2-5. Ganado lost 35-0 in their recent league outing against Monument Valley (Kayenta, AZ)
