The crowd at Monday's non-league battle between the Asheville Christian Academy Lions (Swannanoa, NC) and the visiting Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC), saw Asheville Christian Academy's volleyball squad notch a victory over Polk County by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Asheville Christian Academy improves its record to 20-1 on the season. The Lions travel to Asheville School (Independent) (Asheville, NC) to encounter the Blues in a NCISAA Carolina Athletic battle on Tuesday, October 7. The Blues go into the battle with a record of 11-8. Asheville School (Independent) lost 3-1 in their recent non-league contest against Asheville (Asheville, NC)

Next, the Wolverines meet the Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC) in a Western Highlands 2A/3A contest, on Thursday, October 9. Polk County will attempt to move on its 12-11 season record. The Vikings enter the contest with a 10-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).
