The Mt. Vernon Marauders volleyball team (Fortville, IN), was edged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Brownstown Central Braves (Brownstown, IN)

The Braves (13-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Mitchell (Mitchell, IN). The Bluejackets come into the non-league challenge with a 24-3 record. In their last challenge, Mitchell was edged by Linton-Stockton (Linton, IN), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Marauders encounter the Carmel Greyhounds (Carmel, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, October 8. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 11-20 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 19-8 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Kokomo (Kokomo, IN).
