Georgia High School Basketball - South Gwinnett nips Stephenson
November 11, 2023: Stone Mountain, GA 30087 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the South Gwinnett Comets (Snellville, GA) and the host Stephenson Jaguars (Stone Mountain, GA), saw South Gwinnett's basketball squad hold off Stephenson by a tally of 43-39.
With the victory, South Gwinnett improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Comets travel to Decatur (Decatur, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, November 17. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. Decatur lost 37-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Paideia (Atlanta, GA)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Campbell Spartans (Smyrna, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, November 17. Stephenson will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 66-10 non-league win over Hapeville Charter (Atlanta, GA).
