The Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC), 68-21 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Spartans (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Hickory Christian Academy (Hickory, NC). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 1-0 record. In their last test, Hickory Christian Academy walloped Westchester Country Day (High Point, NC), 62-54, in a non-league test.
