Texas High School Basketball - Liberty holds off Orangefield
November 16, 2023: Orangefield, TX 77639 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Panthers (Liberty, TX) and the host Orangefield Bobcats (Orangefield, TX), witnessed Liberty's basketball squad nip Orangefield by a margin of 29-24.
The Panthers (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 0-2 record. In their last test, Nederland was tipped by Lumberton (Lumberton, TX), 46-41, in a non-league test.
The Bobcats now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Hamshire-Fannett for a non-league test on Friday, November 17. Orangefield will encounter a Longhorns squad coming off a 30-27 non-league win over Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 3-1.
