Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) and the visiting Draughn Wildcats (Valdese, NC), saw St. Stephens's basketball squad hold off Draughn by a tally of 50-43.

With the victory, St. Stephens improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Indians travel to South Caldwell (Hudson, NC) to confront the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, November 21. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 0-1. South Caldwell lost 62-33 in their recent non-league challenge against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, November 20. Draughn will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 68-5 non-league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC).
